Uses

Balancing privacy with ease of use matters to me. I tend to avoid US-based software where I can: partly due to the Cloud Act, partly due to the unethical practices of some companies. That said, some of the best tools come from there, so I allow myself some pragmatic concessions.

My daily driver is a custom-built Linux machine running Arch, with Hyprland and Waybar as my desktop environment. The setup is keyboard-first by design: mouse as little as possible.

For coding, I primarily use VS Code for its rich plugin ecosystem, paired with Claude Code for AI-assisted development.

For personal data, I’m all-in on Proton: mail, storage, VPN, and passwords all under one roof. Swiss-based, end-to-end encrypted, and fully aligned with my privacy values.

For writing, notes, tasks, and everything in between, Anytype does the job well: it’s my one-stop shop for anything that isn’t code.

For browsing, I use Zen with Qwant as my search engine.
